On our first evening, we discovered a severe ant infestation: ants were coming from the baseboards and were found throughout the kitchen, inside cabinets, in the bathroom and on our personal belongings. My first request was simply to be moved to another room where there were no ants. This request was refused. The receptionist called Keti/support while I was standing there, and during the conversation they discussed the fact that this was “another complaint about ants.” This made it clear that the property was already aware of recurring ant problems, yet continued to accommodate guests in the affected room without providing a proper solution. The receptionist said that this is a common problem in this building The next morning, after reporting the problem, the property sprayed strong-smelling chemical pesticide throughout the apartment, including kitchen surfaces used for food preparation. After the treatment, the apartment was filled with an extremely strong chemical smell and was unsafe to remain in. We had to urgently pack our belongings, leave the apartment and find completely different accommodation that same morning. We checked out at approximately 09:00 on July 17 and returned the keys. We did not stay for the 3 days we had booked. Later that same day, despite being completely healthy before these events, I had to seek medical attention at a hospital due to poisoning/intoxication symptoms. The property offered to refund only the unused night, which I rejected. Since July 17, the property has ignored my messages regarding the refund. At the same time, they continue to send messages asking how satisfied I was with my stay and encouraging me to leave a review, as if nothing had happened. Given the circumstances, this feels extremely inappropriate and misleading.
