The Seabreeze Apartment | 1BR in Gjiri i Lalëzit

I was genuinely very disappointed Positive: Once we managed to get to Whatsapp the communication was nice and fast.. The property was quiet. That's basically it... Negative: I am so disappointed that I don't know where to start... Arrival: that they kept referring me to a Youtube video for how to get into the building. Not having data when I arrived in Albania this was quite challenging. I had to find some locals to ask for hotspot, then I watched the video but even the video was missing the "code" to get the keys from. Initial check-in: I had told the property in advance that I would be checking in sometime between 12:00 and 1:00PM due to my flight time and they said it was fine. When I arrived, even though it was 1:30PM, the flat was not cleaned, the towels and sheets from the previous guests were in the WC... When I contacted the host via whatsapp they said that the check in was 3:00PM so it would be ready by then. I waited and the cleaners (a lady and a man) came around 2:30PM...) I left them in the flat and when I came back in the evening, the flat still had a lot of uncleaned parts (i did share photos with the host), the sheets were STINKING and wrinkly... The host kept on apologising but the earliest they could clean again was the next day. I could barely sleep due to how bad it was smelling in the bedroom.. Location: Not sure how this place scored >9 but there's NOTHING around the building, literally nothing. So apart from the beach, I just had to stay in my apartment. If you don't have a car, this is not a suitable stay for a solo traveller..

We really enjoyed our stay. It fully met our expectations. Positive: A great location for a family vacation with children. The beach is only a 7–10 minute walk away through a beautiful pine forest along a flat and easy path. The water is shallow near the shore, making it perfect for kids, and gets deeper further out. There is a small grocery store right next to the apartments with all the essentials, as well as the FishLand restaurant. There are also another 3–4 restaurants along the coast. Keep in mind that both the store and the restaurants accept cash only (euros are accepted), although there is an ATM nearby. The nearest supermarket where you can pay by card is about a 30-minute walk to the left along the main road. As for the apartments themselves, they were clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the staff responded promptly to any questions we had. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking. Toiletries (shower gel and shampoo), laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, and towels were also provided. We are very grateful to the team for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Negative: The only minor downside was that there were no mosquito screens on the windows. We didn't actually see any insects during our stay, but our children were worried that mosquitoes might fly into the apartment if we opened the windows.
