Villa Jerina | Green Coast

Terrible experience, no running water and no privacy (avoid at all costs) Positive: The location of the villa is within a new gated community of the Green Coast residence. The Green Coast itself is breath taking and this should have been an easy 5 stars reviews because the villa is relatively new, has a swimming pool and is spaciious but unfortunately, the running water was cut off after our second day. Negative: Yes, you read that right. There was no running water at the Villa, which forced us to fill in buckets from the swimming pool in order to flush the toilets! We woke up the second day of our visit and there was no water out of the tap but I thought it's a temporary problem that would be fixed in an hour or two. I contacted the hostess to inquire and she said there was a problem with the water supply of the entire residence. We went out and spent the whole day at the beach and when we came back, there was still no running water. When I pressed her, she admitted that this is a frequent problem and rushed to bring us a mobile tanker to fill in the reservoir. Next morning, there was no running water again, which quickly degraded the quality of the experience to that of a war zone. No showers, no clean clothes or dishes. When I called and demanded compensation, she shrugged it off stating that every Albanian citizen knows that there is a water shortage in the summmer. Why do you rent out a luxurious villa when you can't gaurantee a stable water supply? We are not talking about WiFi (which was also poor) but about a basic amenity (fresh water). Also, on the first day I took a stroll outside the residence and when I came back there was a strange man in the garden. When I asked the hostess, she said that it was the gardener. My wife was terrified when she saw a strange man peeping inside the bedroom while she and the kids were sleeping. We were not notified that a gardner would come and nobody knocked at the door. Just walzed in through the garden door. Also, I found sigarettes butts thrown in the grass. Again, the Green Coast is worth a visit but if she is right that this is a problem of the residence (resort) itself, then avoid staying there in general and avoid Pikhost in particular. Worst experience I had in any luxurious villa. Our stay at the coast was ruined. Luckily the other property we rented in San Prieto was far much better

Top villa Positive: The villa was perfect, clean, in a very quiet residence. We were able to enjoy the beautiful swimming pool with jacuzzi overlooking the sea. The host Oriola was responsive, she answered my questions quickly. She gave me good advice on restaurants and activities to do. Frankly, I don't regret it and I recommend this villa to everyone. If I come back to Albania, I would go back without hesitation!!
